A man accused of stabbing his common law wife and his teenage stepson is in jail tonight. 34-year-old Alfred Billary was today arraigned in Magistrate's Court for two counts of attempted murder, two counts of dangerous harm, and two counts of use of deadly means of harm.
33-year-old Erma Bethran told police that when she returned home around 3 am on Saturday morning an enraged Billary pulled out a knife and stabbed her in the chest, abdomen, and thigh. It gets worse because when Bethran's twelve-year-old son tried to help his mother, Billary allegedly stabbed the boy in his back. Bethran has been released from the hospital and she'll sleep better knowing that when he appeared in court today Billary was denied bail and remanded to the Hattieville prison until May 10th. The news isn't good for her son as the 12 year old's lung collapsed and he is still hospitalized in the hospital.
Billary had been Bethran's live in boyfriend for 18 months.
