The gang of bandits that have been terrorizing tourists in western Belize for over a year may have been caught. Details are very scarce at this hour, but initial reports suggest that as many as nine men are detained in Flores, Guatemala. At this hour, we are told that a leader from the Cayo branch of the BTIA who's been preyed upon by the gang previously is going over there to see if he can positively identify them.

Commissioner of Police Gerald Westby declined comment, indicating only that he would have something for us tomorrow. There's over $50,000 being offered for their capture and that reward was advertised in Guatemala.
