He's the host of Belizean Vibes on Love TV and calls himself "Mr. Program", and now Gilbert Alamilla is adding to the Belizean musical works which are featured on his program. His album is called the 'New Introduction' and he says it focuses largely on positive reggae and dancehall with a heaping serving of the spicy stuff, called Reggaeton.
Gilbert Alamilla,
"It is a mixture of reggaeton, dancehall, and reggae music. Of course our music is to an international level so when people hear the album, they will really say that Belizeans have potential. This is excellent music. It is good positive music for all ages, for the ladies, it talks about how we stand today systematically-basically everything in entertainment.
In Belize we have a multi-cultural group and you will find that two of the basic groups which seem to be the largest are the Latin speaking and the Creole group, people who speak English. But I want to basically reach a larger market of people because Belize is a small country.
A lot of times you find you don't get much support if you sing in one language. So to make it a wider market what I basically do is just add different compilations of music with different artists and that is how I come up with the Dancehall, the Reggaeton, and the Reggae music."
