The rumors of her departure abound, but for the time being, Social Security CEO Narda Garcia is staying put. She led a management meeting at Social Security headquarters today and did not tell the managers whether she was staying or going but did allude to her uncertain status and indicated that she will tell them what she's doing sometime later.

Today the Cabinet brief confirmed that the Prime Minister is deliberating. It states that the report was delivered to the Prime Minister yesterday morning by the clerk of the National Assembly Conrad Lewis. The Cabinet brief simply says, "the Prime Minister said he would study the report and make his views on it known at an early date."

That date will presumably be after he returns form a SICA summit in Panama at the end of the week. Deputy Prime Minister Johnny Briceno is also away in Brazil at an energy and environment summit. In their absence, party deputy leader and Minister of Tourism Godfrey Smith is acting as Prime Minister.
