On Saturday, 46-year-old Wilhem Bailey was detained in the BATSUB Compound at Price Barracks after he tried to break into a British soldier's home. Bailey was attempting to enter the home of British Sergeant Michael Webb. He had cut through a wire fence around the perimeter of the compound and was cutting the mesh wire of the screen door of the sergeant's home when he was caught by British staff sergeant Joanne Ellis.

Bailey was then handed over to police and today he appeared in Magistrate's Court where he pleaded guilty to charges of attempted burglary and damage to property. Magistrate Kathleen Lewis then sentenced bailey to 5 years in prison for the attempted burglary charge and 5 months for damage to property. The sentences are to run concurrently so he will serve 5 years in jail.
