He's now been officially missing for an entire week. That's seven days and tonight makes 8 nights that Sergeant Ramon Aguilar has been lost in the jungles of the Chiquibul Forest Reserve. That's the longest that any Belizean soldier has ever been unaccounted for.

Tonight there is little new to report on the efforts other than the fact that coordinated searches continue. These efforts include significantly beefed up BDF deployments to the 200 square mile area as well as the introduction of dogs to help in the search efforts. That however is limited to three hour searches since that's the capacity of the dog to pick up and follow a trail.

As for the sergeant's family, we understand that the Belize Defense Force Families Association, which includes wives of BDF soldiers, will be paying a visit to them tonight.
