Police Constable Sheldon Arzu who is serving a 13 year sentence for the manslaughter of police detainee Ruben 'Pony' Alarcon was back in court today. After being sentenced at the Supreme Court in December of 2005, he went to the Court of Appeals today, asking them to throw out the conviction.
Six grounds were presented by his attorney Linsbert Willis, but the judges were unmoved and dismissed the appeal and affirmed the conviction and sentence.
