In June, Shirley Arzu was charged for breaking into an office at City Hall and stealing $1,7 hundred dollars in petty cash. Arzu was the security guard on duty and couldn't explain how someone entered the office, without forced entry, and stole the money from a cabinet without her knowledge. Well she doesn't have to explain because today a Magistrate struck out the case. Arzu told us she feels vindicated.

Shirley Arzu,
"I am doing this on behalf of my children. I have eleven children as you already know and my kids, most of the times, they have the shadow of this and always looking at me and asking what is next. So I want them to see, their friends see, and the public see, the world see that I am innocent. I have been proven innocent at least."

Keith Swift,
Do you want back your job?

Shirley Arzu,
"Personally I just want to wait because I waited four months to now so I see that the City Council brought charges against me, the City Council dropped it, and so I am waiting again."

And while Arzu feels vindicated, a City Council spokesman told us that's not the end of it. The spokesman says they have pointed police to a second suspect and in the interest of justice, it would be unfair to pursue charges against one suspect and not the other. They stress that it was the police's decision to charge Arzu and the court's decision to strike out the case.
