A policeman is recovering from bite wounds after he tried to apprehend a robber last night. Just after 12 midnight, two male Princess Hotel employees had left work and were walking on Newtown Barracks when two men on bikes held them up with a knife and punched one of them in the face. They stole a watch, a cell phone and $150 in cash. They called the police who set off on a citywide sweep. They found tow men fitting the description on Central American Blvd near Iguana Street. The men dropped their bikes and ran off on foot. Police set chase and caught them, but as he was being placed under arrest, one of the men attacked Police Corporal Zetina, bit him on his biceps and dashed off. Police have one of the suspects detained and found him with $150 in cash, a watch and US$120.
