They've both made a career out of stealing but in June of 2005 when 43-year-old Robert "Cologne" Gordon and 49 year old Oswald Leslie were busted while literally dismantling a house, they told police they were construction workers, and today, they told the same story today to Chief Magistrate Herbert Lord.
On June 15th of 2005 police constable Orin Nunez responded to reports of a burglary at the corner of Mahogany and Casaurina Streets. When he arrived, PC Nunez says he caught Cologne and Leslie inside the house removing a grill door. Police later found 6 wooden window blinds which the pair of would-be contractors had already stashed outside.
In court the pair said they were hired by a contractor named "Garnett." Lord gave the men time to find "Garnett" but they couldn't so he found them guilty. With that, both were sentenced to serve 5 years in prison.
