3 Months for a Can of Baygon

A 33-year-old man will be spending time in prison for stealing a can of Baygon. At around 2 yesterday security guards saw 33-year-old Mauricio Garoy take a can of Baygon insecticide from Xtra House supermarket. Garoy dashed out of the store, but the guards caught up with him at the corner of Glenn Street and Euphrates Avenue.

Today in court, Garoy pleaded guilty to the charge of theft but not before telling the court that he took the Baygon to kill some ants in his yard. He was sentenced to 3 months in prison. Garoy has one previous conviction for theft.
