It could have been the perfect robbery: he wore a ski mask, it was committed in the dark of night, and he made a clean escape with $24,000 in cash and checks. But that's not how it ended for 22-year-old Albert Palacio. He is accused of robbing quality poultry product's office in
Dangriga last night and he is in jail tonight because of personal items he allegedly left near the crime scene.

At around 9, the manager and other employees were inside the compound located at mile one and a half on the Stann Creek Valley Road when a gunman with a ski mask entered. He pulled out a short handgun and grabbed a bag containing $13,000 in cash and another $11,000 in checks.

He dashed off and ditched his mask and clothes used in the nearby bushes. And that's right where police found them. And inside those items of clothing, police found items that led them to 22-year-old Albert Palacio. None of the stolen money was recovered but Palacio has been charged with robbery. Police aren't disclosing what personal items Palacio allegedly left near the crime scene.
