Debbie Vasquez Seriously Hurt in Western Highway Collision

And just a half a mile down from where that horse was hit, former city councilor Debbie Vasquez was involved in a serious accident today. Vasquez was driving a Ford Ranger and turning on the highway when an Isuzu pickup hit her. The massive impact sent Vasquez's Ranger careening off the highway. The side was crushed and had to be cut open to get her out of the vehicle.

And while it was serious, today her family told us that she broke her shoulder and received various cuts, but was conscious and cogent at the hospital.
