Possessed Killer Charged for Police Officer's Murder

Two Saturdays ago 25-year-old Giovanni Tasher butchered off duty police constable Ever Moralez who was buying fish at the riverside in Dangriga Town. Tasher's family said he was possessed by demons and that caused him to kill. But possessed or not, police say Tasher committed murder.

Yesterday he was formally charged with murder and remanded to the Hattieville Prison. Tasher's family claimed that he became possessed after having Sunday dinner at his girlfriend's house in Dangriga. His family also claimed that he had attacked them.

After killing PC Moralez, Tasher licked the blood off the knife. Police had to shoot him three times to subdue him.
