He had been on the run since allegedly robbing a Quality Poultry Products deliveryman at gunpoint on Saturday but 21-year-old Sheldon Burgess has turned himself into police. The former Quality Poultry employee surrendered to police in the company of his attorney Antonette Moore. Has promptly charged with robbery and aggravated assault.
Burgess allegedly robbed driver Maynor Castellanos of a moneybag containing more than three thousand dollars. Castellanos was told to deliver 200 chickens to an area near the airstrip in Dangriga. The area was deserted and Castellanos was ambushed when he was driving out of the area. Burgess was wearing a mask but during a struggle, Castellanos managed to pull it off, as well as grab the gun Burgess was allegedly carrying.
