They were busted with 36 kilos of marijuana but Benque Viejo Police say 30 year old Randy Petillo and 29-year-old Minerva Cajbon were also armed which is why they had to fire a shot.
The bullet caught Cajbon in her leg and police say the shooting was justified. They report that at 12:15 this morning, officers on patrol in Benque Viejo stopped a blue Toyota Camry being driven by Petillo. Police approached the vehicle and they say Cajbon refused to exit the vehicle and that's when they saw what appeared to be a gun in her hand. They fired a shot which caught her in the right upper leg.
Police searched the vehicle and found the 36 kilos of marijuana in a sack. Petillo has been charged for drug trafficking and they are awaiting Cajbon's release from the San Ignacio Hospital to similarly charge her.
