Nearly ten thousand dollars of Anglican Cathedral College's registration money was stolen in an armed robbery on Tuesday afternoon. Police believe it was an inside job and detained the school's office assistant. He was however released today without being charged due to a lack of evidence.
The school's caretaker Brian Anthony left to deliver at 4 pm on Tuesday to deposit the $7,088 in cash and $2,389 in checks. He said that as he was heading on to Regent Street, he was held up at gunpoint and robbed.
