Police Busted Man with Stolen Jewelry

More than $3,000 in jewelry was stolen from a businessman’s home in Orange Walk Town on Sunday night and police didn’t have to look far to find the thief.

Michael Witzil told police that when he arrived home on Sunday night he saw signs of a burglary. When he checked he found that an assortment of gold jewelry, high priced watches, and cell phones were missing. He immediately called police who responded and found 22 year old Israel Murillos hiding in the yard with blue knapsack. The stolen items were inside the knapsack.

Murillos was charged burglary. He appeared in Magistrate’s Court yesterday and was denied bail.
