A taxi man was kidnapped and then carjacked over the weekend and police say 19 year old Burley Card did it.

44 year old Glenford Morgan reported to police that on Saturday night he was stopped at the corner of King Street and West Canal by a light skinned man. He says four more men jumped in and they asked him to drive them to Faber's Road. And that's what Morgan says he did. But when he reached Krooman Road on Faber's Road Extension, he says he was hit in his head with a gun. He was also robbed $50 in cash and a cell phone.

His ordeal however didn't end there because he was tied up with his own belt and placed in the back of his van. The men drove off -and even stopped at a gas station to refuel. They took him to mile 6 on the Northern Highway where they threatened to kill him. They took him out of the vehicle and that's when he ran.

His attackers drove off and Burley Card was busted in the van after it crashed into a wooden fence at the corner of West Canal and King Street. Card was arrested as he attempted to flee the scene. He was arrested and police found in the van a loaded 9 millimeter Smith and Wesson gun. Burley has been charged with robbery, wounding, keeping unlicensed firearm, and keeping ammunition without a gun license.
