Today, a forty seven year old father appeared in Dangriga Magistrate's Court where he was formally arraigned after he was charged with two counts of incest and common assault. The man, a Dangriga resident, was arrested after three of his daughters, an adult, a fourteen year old and an eight year old all reported to police that on separate occasions between November 2006 and December sixth, 2007 their father had sex with them. The girls also told police that their dad threatened to kill them and their mother if any of them told on him.
The most recent case involves the older teenager in which she told police that two weeks ago while her mom went to buy at a nearby shop, her father had sexual intercourse with her. According to the fourteen year old, her dad has been having sex with her since she was only eight years old. The younger sibling told police that in march of this year she was at home when her dad took off her clothes and began fondling here. The eldest sister reported that between November first, 2006 and March, 2007 her father has been having sex with her against her will.
According to the police, after making his court appearance today, the father was remanded into their custody and tomorrow is expected to be transferred to the Hattieville Prison.
