It’s called the garden city but police say one couple took it too far with an indoor weed patch. He says he is an artist but Belmopan police say 61-year-old Christopher Dunster and his 54-year-old wife Edna were growing marijuana inside their home. Police searched the couple’s home on 88 Master’s Street in the University Height’s area of Belmopan on Thursday which is when they say they found point 8 grams of marijuana and 4.2 grams of marijuana seeds.
The couple was jointly charged for cultivation of cannabis and two counts of drug possession. In court on Friday Christopher Dunster pled guilty to both charges and was fined $2,000 for the cultivation, $800 for the marijuana seeds, and an additional $200 for the marijuana. The charges against his wife were withdrawn.
