A teenager has been missing since Friday and her mother reached out to the media today. According to Teresa Young it has been close to one week that her daughter fifteen-year-old Camesha Avaloy went missing. Today she caught up with our 7NEWS team and said she is still hoping for a happy ending.
Jacqueline Godwin,
Teresa what do you believe happened to Camesha?
Teresa Young, Mother
“Well really I can’t say because she went to school Friday morning, she and her brother, and only her brother returned and she didn’t.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
Has she ever done this before?
Teresa Young,
“No, she hasn’t.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
Was she giving trouble, do you believe she may have just run away from home?
Teresa Young,
“I don’t believe so because I told her to pick up her little brother and sister from school that same evening because it was supposed to only be a half day of school that same day. I didn’t see her come and I started to wonder where she is so I went to the police station and made a report about it.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
She never picked up her young siblings?
Teresa Young,
“No, they came home themselves.”
Jacqueline Godwin,
Teresa what have you been doing to try and find your daughter?
Teresa Young,
“Well we have been making stickers, flyers, and it is on the internet, email, and we have friends and family working on it. It is on the news on the radio station also. I am appealing to her to please come home because we are worried, we are very worried about her. Her brother and sister cannot sleep and to just tell her that her father will not do anything to her, we won’t beat her or anything. We just want her safe return home.”
