Police and Customs are investigating the jacking and disappearance of a container truck. It happened last night as driver, 21 year old Edson Moh was on the Coastal Road. The container was cleared from Customs and he was heading to Dangriga Town through the Hummingbird Highway. But he told police he got a call telling him to detour through the Coastal Road – and one mile down that road, he was stopped by 3 vehicles blocking the road. 7 armed men came out – ordered him out of the truck and drove off. Moh was left on the road.
When they were notified police launched an aggressive search, putting up checkpoints and even getting assistance from the BDF Airwing. But the truck could not be found and the investigation continues. Most pressing to police is what could have been inside that required such a well resourced and orchestrated jacking.
