Decomposed John Doe Found Along Placencia Beach

Sometime this morning Placencia police received a call notifying them that a body was discovered floating along the beach. When authorities responded they discovered the badly decomposed body of a Hispanic man. According to the police they have yet to receive confirmation on the identity of the remains but preliminary investigations have led them to strongly suspect the person is a resident of the San Juan Community situated in the area of Mango Creek.

Authorities also suspect foul play but have yet to find out who killed him and why. On Wednesday, the Chief Pathologist Dr. Mario Estradabran is scheduled to conduct a post mortem that should provide the police with critical additional information.
