He is no stranger to police but tonight 21 year old Clifton Flores says he is the victim. Flores says that last night at 8:45 – a team of plain clothed officers picked him up from his home on Baracat Street. They told him they were looking for a gun but instead of taking Flores to the police station, he says they took him to the cemetery where he claims he was beaten with a baseball bat and forced to swallow his own vomit and blood.

Clifton Flores, Alleges Police Abuse
“When they finished beating me at the cemetery they took me to the police station. When I reached the police station they started beating me again with bat, with a baseball bat, club and their firearm. I was beaten bad, I vomited up and I was put to swallow back my own vomit; they made me swallow my own vomit and my blood. I was taken to Penn Road in a dark area that leads to Faber’s Road. I was taken there and I was put facedown flat, my head was stuck in the mud for about 5 minutes and then they started beating me for no reason and then they took me back to the station.”

Keith Swift,
What are your injuries?

Clifton Flores,
“My injuries are wounding. I was bashed in the face, I got about four stitches in my mouth, my whole body is swelled up, and bruised up. I can’t walk, I am in bad pain right now.”

Keith Swift,
And you said you did nothing wrong.

Clifton Flores,
“I did nothing wrong. I wasn’t charged, I wasn’t even put in a detention cell. It was no question or nothing, just beating. They asked fo0r a firearm and I didn’t have a firearm. I told them I didn’t know about the firearm and they just started beating me.”

A doctor classified Clifton Flores’ injuries as wounding. He plans to file a report with police’s internal affairs.
