He was sleeping over at a friend’s house, but bus conductor Alton Murray says that his friend –prison officer Shedrack Martinez stole his wallet with $900 in it. Now he wants to put that officer behind prison bars. Murray told police that on Monday he slept at Martinez’s house on Vernon Street where he left his wallet which contained $900 along with his identification card and other documents.

A police investigation led to Martinez’s arrest. He appeared before Senior Magistrate, Dorothy Flowers in court #2 this morning where he pleaded not guilty to the charge of theft and was offered bail of $1,500. Martinez is due back in court on April 17.
