In May of 2006 58 year old security guard Oliver Blanco was killed for his gun in broad daylight and left for dead in a Faber’s Road drain. The aggressive and violent assault outraged the community and deeply saddened his family: why did he have to be killed in such a cold blooded fashion? Well, we may never know, because now the case has turned into just another nolle pros. That’s right, the prosecution’s case fell apart because key witnesses were a no-show. They are believed to be evading the police.

So, the two men accused of the crime, 27 year old Noel “Bigga” Usher and 28 year old Edward “Chuck” Arthurs, were freed of all charges. Only Usher walked out of the court a free man today as Arthurs is still being held by the police in connection with an alleged rape case. Blanco was returning to work on the morning of may 31st when he was gunned down by two men. They shot him in the head, chest, and abdomen leaving him dead in the drain.

They stole his 9 mm pistol which was later retrieved by police.
