Eighteen year old Adrian Morris, charged with the murder of 71 yr old Juan Tut, was sentenced to 15 years today by Justice Adolph Lucas after he pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter.
The incident took place after 3 p.m. on February 22, 2007 on the Coastal Road near La Democracia. Morris and Tut who were working at a farm, got into an altercation. Morris chopped Tut on the left and right sides of his neck, almost decapitating him in the process. He also stabbed Tut in his abdomen.
His sentence was in effect since June 22nd, the day he pleaded guilty.
