She is a chef but yesterday 48 year old Lila Williams was busted with ten pounds of weed. On Wednesday morning police searched Williams’ home on Raccoon Street extension and found 2.5 grams of weed hidden in her locker. That’s hardly a joint - but a further search by police on the premises turned up 10 pounds, or 4.675 kilos of marijuana they found hidden in her bathroom in a crocus sack.
She was arrested and charged with one count of drug possession and an additional count of drug trafficking. She attempted to plead guilty to the possession charge in court today but magistrate Aretha Ford rejected the plea after Williams said she doesn’t smoke weed and doesn’t know how it got into her locker.
She was granted bail of $5,000. The case against her was adjourned to September 25th.
