Police Still Investigating Shooting of German Resort Owner

A gunman tried to kill the owner of the Paradise Estate Resort in Cayo on Friday night. As we reported last night, Peter Albert Steins was at the gate of his residence when he came under fire. Investigator Sergeant Kent Paulino says police have no suspects and are still searching for a motive.

Steins was hit in his left upper back. He underwent a 7 hour surgery performed by three doctors on Saturday during which they managed to remove the single 9 millimeter shell that had just narrowly missed his heart.
