Twenty four year old Charles McKoy, a mechanic of mile one and a half on the Northern Highway who allegedly shot two brothers and caused death of one, was charged with murder and attempted murder when he appeared today in Magistrate Court. Mckoy was also charged with dangerous harm, use of deadly means of harm and 2 counts of aggravated assault. Chief Magistrate Margaret Mckenzie did not take a plea from Mckoy because the offences are indictable. She remanded him into custody until August 27. Mckoy was charged with the murder of 16 year old mechanic Alexander Murray who was shot in the back and back of his head around 4:10 A.M on Saturday July 24th, while he was in a Pontiac Car in front of Korea Electronics' on Freetown Road. Alexander succumbed to his injuries around 1:42 P.M the same day. Mckoy was charged with the attempted murder and aggravated assault on 24 year old Glenford Martinez, a mechanic who was in the Pontiac with Alexander, his brother, Alton Murray 24 and 24 year old Michael Stevens. Mckoy was charged with causing dangerous harm to Alton and use of deadly means of harm on Alton, who was shot in his right elbow. Mckoy's second charge of aggravated assault was on Stevens. Police investigations revealed that the Pontiac was blocked by two vehicles, a black pick-up truck on one side and an Astro Van on the other. According to the police, the shots were fired from the Astro Van.
