Since New Year's there's been a lull in violence - but it was broken by the sound of gunfire this morning. The shooting occurred this morning at the corner of Kut and Amara Avenues.
Monica Bodden has the story.
28 year old Trevor Budran was standing on this verandah when he was shot around 7:30 this morning.
The shooting took place on Euphrates Avenue- at Bedran's sister's residence.
It is said that he was standing on his sister's verandah at the time.
According to witnesses in the area, the gunman began firing several shot from up the street.
Budran who was just coming from the store, was shot twice in the right arm and right side of his chest.
According to a family member, he then ran inside his sister's house for help.
Budran, who is known by many - not to be a troublesome person- was rushed to the KHMH - where he was treated and later released this afternoon.
It is still unsure what the motive of this morning's shooting was but police say they are investigating.
At the time of the incident, several shots were also penetrated thought the walls of the front bedroom of the house.
Luckily no one was injured - but as you can see the bullets went through and through this wall.
No one has been arrested….
