Killa’s Funeral

And what may be one of the last burials was held at Lord's Ridge this afternoon when Kraal Road Boss Raymond Killa Gentle was buried. He was accommodated in a tomb space, because there are no ground spaces left.

The service was held at the Mennonite Church on the procession was memorable for more than one reason. First, Minister Wilfred Elrington led the band in the slow march and second, Gentle's coffin was not put in a hearse, it was carried through the streets by his loyalists.

Gentle was killed a week ago as he was working on a house on Kraal Road. Police say he was shot by a rival gang.
