The Gang Suppression Unit - that's the police team that's been running and roughing up the streets recently and today a dozen of them ran up into and roughed up an apartment on West Canal.
No one knows what they were looking for, and of course, they had no search warrant but they kicked in a number of doors - in some cases where the tenant wasn't even there.
And more than just kick in doors, they also unleashed what is quickly becoming their trademark, taser guns - and to add insult to injury, provoked two of the men to get into some Abu Ghraib style poses. Crazy, right? But one of the men told us about it off camera…..

"I heard the gate opening up and after that I look out my window and I see maybe 6-7 police officers coming in and afterwards one of them came to the back where I live, the others ones went upstairs. the one that came to the back where I live, he came with his pump aiming to shoot and he came to my door and tell everybody get down on the floor. When everybody was going down on the floor I ask the police what is the problem bed cause this is my house where I pay rent and the man say 'just get down on the floor' and at that time another truck of police officers came and it there was more police going in my house now, then one of them told us to lay down on the floor and put our hands on our head."

"Now did they actually enter your property, did they enter your apartment?"
Victim
"Yes sir, they entered my house. When they enter my house the police start searching the place and then one of them told my friends and I that we are some fags because there were only men in my house and we wasn't doing nothing but watching a little TV and listening to the radio, then one of them ask the officer that was coming from upstairs to for us to lay on top of each other and that's when I refuse to do that and I told him, well I would rather die because I am not any homosexual. The police that I told that too ran outside and got a taser gun out his vehicle, came back in and start pursue to shock me up. He shocks me on my right side of my back and too times on my left arm. Afterwards the one police started digging up my room and that's the only time when I heard one police say to look up and see what the next police is doing while he is searching. All this time they didn't give me permission to do any of that. It was only at the indoor search that they say look up and see what this police are doing to your house."

"What did they say they were searching for? What reason brought them here?"
Victim
"They never did tell me, they never did tell me what they were searching for. They just say that this is a search."

"So they entered your place where you reside without a search warrant?"
Victim
"That's correct and they enter my place without a search warrant, they abuse me, disrespect me."

"Did the police during their search find anything that was illegal?"
Victim
"None what so ever, nothing was found illegal, no man was carried from here and charge for anything."
No charges were filed against the three men, and a complaint has been lodged with the Police Internal Affairs.
