Last night we told you all about the rash of gun violence on Antelope Street where 8 people were shot on the long weekend - three of them including a female were killed.

But even with that staggering count, it could have been worse. That's because eon Friday night, the shooters fired into a crowd that was socializing. Five were hit, but there were many more around.

One man who was narrowly missed by flying bullets told us his story today:

Monica Bodden Reporting:

This was the chair that Keith Jones was sitting on at the time of Friday night's shooting.

As you can see, one of the bullets splintered the wooden chair. Today he considers himself a lucky man - and told us that out of the 6 that were socializing on Antelope Street on Friday night, he was the only one who escaped unhurt. 3 females were shot and 2 men were killed.- one of his very own employees.

Keith Jones - Survived Shooting Unhurt

"I don't know if I should consider myself fortunate, an angel, or some miracle happened. Obviously there is a God because I was sitting on this chair, and if you notice there are bullet marks on it, and I didn't get shot. The young lady that was sitting in front of me and after me - both of them got shot, and I was fortunate not to get hurt."

Jones recalled the entire episode on Friday night.

Keith Jones
"We just heard bang bang! Then someone shouted, 'Gunshot! "Run!" Everybody scattered. We went inside this building that is directly behind me. I know some people went into the house afterwards. After you heard the first two shots, the shots continued to ring out; You're inside and you still hear them. Then Dwayne told me, 'Boss, I got shot.' I asked him where and he told me in his stomach, and he crouched over. I heard someone say that she got shot, so I ran inside, but I noticed that she was shot in the foot, so I came back outside to Dwayne. I ran up the street; there was not vehicle up that side, so I turned back and I saw a pick-up coming. I stopped it, put everyone inside, and we went to the hospital. Dwayne was conscious all the way until we reach the round-about, when he lost consciousness."

Today he told us the shooting did not occurr in front of his home. In fact it happened at his neighbor's residence. He also wanted to clarify that they were socializing, not gambling and his employee Dwayne Tillett was not there to collect his pay cheque- but was also hanging out.

Keith Jones
"One of the things I want to clarify is that we were not playing cards on the carriage that was on the street side. We were actually playing cards inside yard - just in front of me where I'm standing. Another thing is that Dwayne - the guy that worked with me - I had paid him on Thursday, the day before."

Monica Bodden
"So he was just out here socializing?"

Keith Jones
"He was out here socializing with us as he usually does, because he is one of my most trusted workers. He is always jovial and nice to have around."

No one has been charged for Friday's shooting.

The deceased were 18 year old Eric Arana, and 21 year old Dwight Tillett. The three females were 19 year old Khiry Haulze, who was shot to the left side of the buttocks; 21 year old Juvanna Gillett, who was shot twice to the right shoulder; and 27 year old Karen Rivers, who was shot to the right ankle.

Khiry Haulze was treated and released while Juvanna Gillett and Karen Rivers were hospitalized in stable condition.
