On Friday we told you about 39 year old Jessem Gladden - the brother of the infamous Darren Banks - who was shot to his left cheek, left shoulder and to the right side of his back on Thursday night in front of his home on Flamboyant Street. He was listed in a critical condition and was on life support at the KHMH. On Friday night Gladden succumbed to his injuries. 7news spoke to his mother this morning.

"Friday night about 11 when they call my sister to get in touch with me. She came for me about 11."

"How serious was his condition?"
Elida Bonnell - Mother
"Well he was serious because the bullet that hit him - they say that one grazes his face but according to them now they say that he had a bullet in his head. Then the other bullet that hit him in the back - that is the one that ruptures everything inside him; spleen, liver and kidneys."

"At this point have you heard anything from police? have anybody been detain for this?"
Elida Bonnell - Mother
"No, I don't hear anything from the police and I don't hear if the arrest anybody."
Jessem Gladden was the father of a 9 year old son and had a child on the way with his girlfriend. Police have not yet detained anyone in connection with his murder.
