Corporal Killed In Traffic Accident

A police corporal was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon. It happened on the Southern Highway between miles 41 and 42 around 2:30.

Corporal Mateo Shol was driving a police pickup truck from Bella Vista Village towards Independence, when he lost control of the vehicle and overturned. He was flung out of the vehicle unto to the middle of the highway, received massive head and body injuries and died on the spot. The vehicle ended up off the road in an Orange orchard. Shol was travelling alone; he was in charge of the Bella Vista Village Police Station.
