A 26 year old Man from St. Mathews Village was murdered over the weekend. He is 26 year old Orlando Rodriguez. The St Matthews Villager was at Frank's Eddy Village yesterday evening around 6:30 socializing and drinking when he got into a brawl with Guillian Hernandez. Rodriguez was smashed to the head with a cement brick and died from a massive head injury.
His step-father who raised him told us the family has lost a father of two and a provider:
Ishmael Ramirez - Step-father
"Well it's so said to say this, but my son is a hard-working man. He used to work had to own his own things, and the sad part is he have two kids left behind. So I feel very sad, and I feel proud of him because he is a hardworking man. And I really want the law - the policeman do his job, because he is not a person who goes about giving trouble, because all his neighbors here and the whole village can say that he is a good man. He's not a trouble-maker."
Police have detained Guillian Hernandez, 29, a tour guide of St. Matthew's Village pending charges.
