16 year old Frank Usher was killed on Sunday morning in Camalote village and tonight police are investigating the possibility that the firearm used to kill him may have been a police weapon. There are multiple strands of evidence, but 7news has confirmed that a Corporal assigned to headquarters in Belmopan has reported a 38 revolver stolen. Now, police are saying that they can't determine conclusively if Usher was killed with a 38. But there are two wanted persons and police suspect there may be a link to the corporal who reported the firearm missing. What's more, unconfirmed reports say the gun is registered in the name of a very senior police officer.
The police press officer declined comment today and says he'll have answers for us on this very disturbing information tomorrow.
