Beware Of Land Fraudster

Over the years, we've covered all kinds of scams at the Lands Department.

Now, the Department has issued an advisory that this man, Elroy Basta-ra-cheya is pretending to be a Department of Lands Official, and conducting fraudulent land transactions.

According to an official release, he masquerades as either an employee of the Department of Lands and Surveys, or envoy of either Gaspar Vega, or Hugo Patt.

This man has already conducted several transactions while pretending to be a legitimate employee of the Lands Department.

In December of last year, we reported that he had scammed 74 year old U.S. national Sharon Boniek, out of more than $98,000 and was charged for obtaining property be deception.
