There was fatal traffic accident in Black Man Eddy last night at around 7:50. 36 year old Everald Gabourel was driving his pickup truck from Belmopan to San Ignacio when Armando Dominguez traveling on his motorcycle in the same direction tried to overtakehim. That is when Dominguez - on his motorbike - collided into an oncoming red truck. The driver of the red truck - Herson Manchame then lost control of his vehicle and crashed into Gabourel who was driving the pickup truck - quite a freak accident.
Gabourel complained of pain to the head while 3 of his passengers received minor injuries. Manchame suffered a fractured right leg while his passenger also received minor injuries but Armando Dominguez's passenger 35 year old Raymond Reyes didn't survive. He died this morning. When we spoke to Reyes's sister this evening she told us that he left their fathers house in Teakettle with Dominguez on his motorcycle heading to Black man Eddy when the accident happened. Several parts of Reyes's body were broken. He also received major head injuries as well. Armando Dominguez is at the KHMH in a critical condition and has been served with a notice of intended prosecution. Reyes lived in Belmopan and had 3 stepchildren.
