At the top of the news, we told you about two traffic fatalities.

Well, there could have been two of three more after a pair of serious accidents.

On Saturday evening at around 5:00, a James Bus heading to Belize City slammed into a Toyota Tacoma in St. Matthews. Neither the driver of the bus, 56 year old Clyde Tasher, nor the passengers were injured. But the driver of the Tacoma, 47yr old Marcelino Umana, was injured to both ears and his back. His wife Suyapa Rodriguez got the brunt of the impact. She was thrown out of the vehicle and broke her left arm, shoulder blades and six ribs. She was transferred to the KHMH in a critical but stable condition. The Toyota Tacoma was extensively damaged. Bus driver Umana was given a notice of intended prosecution

And moving on to an accident on the Hummingbird highway in St. Margaret Village. 21 year old Jorge Rodriguez was heading to Belmopan on his motorcycle when he lost control an collided into the metal railing on the road's edge. Rodriguez got a large cut wound to his left hand and his head. His female passenger got a fractured jaw and multiple cut wounds to the head and face.
