Mexican Cabbie and Ladyville Passenger Busted For Weed

On Friday morning at 11:20, Corozal Police apprehended a Mexican car smuggling drugs on the Belize side. The Nissan "Tsuru" was driven by 55 year old Chetumal cabbie JORGE ANZURES ALFARO who had 22 year old Ladyville resident JERMAINE Sanker as his passenger.

Police found 1.5 kilos or over three pounds of cannabis in the car. Both men were arrested and charged for DRUG TRAFFICKING. Both were remanded to prison today.
