Today two child molesters were taken to Belize City Magistrate's court.
Forty year old Jorge Carreras, a farmer of Bomba Village was accused of sexually assaulting an 11 year old girl twice, while thirty-nine year old Moises Flores, a resident of 39 Holy Emmanuel Street, was accused of sexually assaulting an 8 year old girl.
For his 2 counts of sexual assault, Carreras pleaded not guilty. He was denied bail and he was remanded into custody until September 26. The child reported to the police that on the first occasion Carraras rubbed himself on her, and on the second occasion, he tied to penetrate the child.
Moises Flores was charged with assault on a child by penetration when he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser. No plea was taken because the offence is indictable and Flores was remanded into custody until September 25. The allegation is that in May Flores fondled the child.
