A woman who roughed up a referee at a cricket match was taken to court today. It happened back in June in Bermudian Landing at a match between Summer Fever and Lemonal.
The umpire Herbert Escarpeta reported that after he made a call he was attacked by irate fans. One of them slapped him across the face - and he recognized her as 43-year-old domestic worker Yolanda Banner. She was charged with common assault and appeared in court today. She pled not guilty and was released on bail of $550 dollars. Her case is adjourned until the 29th of January, 2018.
