Today 2-year-old girl Kyle Carter is in the hospital after being viciously attacked by the family pitbull. The incident occurred on Saturday on Raccoon Street when the toddler and her mother, Rianna Kelly, were entering the family's yard and got rushed by the dog. The pitbull was subdued after biting Kyle several times and she was rushed to the hospital. The family didn't want to talk today - and the only thing we could learn was that the dog had been put down. Police told us what they learned...

"On Saturday 23rd June, 2018, sometime just after 7, a female had just entered her residence at 168 Raccoon Street Extension, accompanied by her daughter. She had just open the gate and as she opened the gate she put the minor beside and that is when the minor was attacked by a pit-bull. The minor sustained several injuries to her body. She was rushed to the Karl Memorial Hospital where she is presently being treated and is in a stable condition at this moment. The mother of the child is one Breanne Kelly of that same address."

"The yard is totally fenced and it has 2 houses. She lives in the front and the owner lives to the back which are all family members."

"The dog was not restrained by a chain?"

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Apparently the dog was loose and there are more than one dog in the yard."

The dog was a family dog - but, as we understand it, it was for the victim's uncle who lives in their yard.
