We told you about several fatal road traffic accidents last week. Today the police updated us on their investigations into two of them. The first happened on Tuesday and involved Belmopan police officer, Corporal Alexander Salam, who hit and killed 69 year old bicycle rider, Selvin Bahadur while driving a government issued truck. The other happened on Thursday when Steadfast Villager, Victor Martinez, was killed on his motorbike after colliding with Chinese businessman, Can Jian Chen. Here's the update they gave us...

"Corporal Alexander Salam case, there is no new update other than to say that as was last reported he was served with an NIP. The results of the samples taken are not back yet. As well as the other traffic accident on the southern highway in Santa Cruz village involving Can Jian Chen. He also was served with a notice of intended persecution and his results are also not back yet. SO those matter still remain under investigation."
