And, turning now to Belmopan, another university student has been killed, the third one for this year. This time the victim is 26 year old, Kevin Frutos - a student and a public servant - who is believed to have been robbed and then killed.
Just like the other University victims Dwayne Cummings and Masaki Yanai, Frutos is no kind of criminal, he was targeted by criminals, killed, and then his body dumped in an abandoned area of Belmopan.
It is believed to have happened 5 days ago on Friday March 22nd, when he was last seen at the Belmopan bus terminal. His remains were found today in a bushy area off George Price Boulevard, in a shallow grave.
For his family which had been looking for him ever since he didn't come home on the night of March 22nd, it is a devastating discovery - and they had to quickly bury his remains this evening in San Ignacio. His brother spoke to PLUS TV of camera at the scene today:...

"Today we came here as I mentioned before to Belmopan and Ihave witnessed and identify my brother in the morgue here in Belmopan. Just want to give thanks to everyone who assisted and all the prayers that went out. Prayers are the most important thing here. Those who did this to my brother we pray that God may find them and help them as we all are Belizeans and we need to start looking over each other."
A post mortem examination was conducted on site and it confirmed that his throat had been slit.
On the police side, Belmopan police are moving fast and have detained 5 persons - notably, two of them were picked up at border crossings, one in the west, the other in the north.
