And, a Belize city businesswoman is experiencing another kind of loss, after someone torched her snack shop last night. It happened around 2:00 this morning in the Lake Independence area at the corner of La Croix and Balan Street. This evening, the 46 year old shopkeeper told us she's sure it's arson:

Marta Ramirez, Fire Victim
"Yes, its arson. Somebody lit it on fire because the fire started by the door and by the door we do not have a gas tank or anything. So somebody, they broke the lock to come in and took something and lit the shop on fire. When we leave the shop we close our tank and we have a switch that we turn off when we come out the shop. So nothing stayed on. It been about 9 years I have that business. I make my living from that. That brings food to my house and my family. I maimntained my daughter kids with that. Somebody with bad mind came and do me bad and do all of us bad."

If anybody want to help me, I would to be happy to received help from them. That person will pay what they have done, because they did aboig damage to me and my family. The Lord almighty will see what they have done and they will pay."
