Today, the press asked police about Gordon's shooting, and the Deputy Head of the National Criminal Investigations Branch told us that, according to police information, he was shot as a part of an ongoing rivalry in that area.

"On Sunday, the 13th Day of September 2020, police visited the KHMH, where they saw Raheem Gordon, 24 years-old, with gunshot injuries to the body. Investigation reveals that he was sitting in a vehicle with another person when they were approached by 2 persons. One of them pulled out a firearm, and fired shots, causing the injuries to him. He's at the KHMH, in a stable condition at this time."

"Do we know why Gordon was targeted, sir?"

"We do not know at this time."

"Any connections to anything that perhaps..."

"The only information that we have is some rivalry they have in that area."

"Sir, we know that this isn't the first attempt on his life. Any connection to the previous attempt?"
Sr. Supt. Hilberto Romero
"Not that we know of. There is some rivalry going on in that area, and it is being addressed at this time."
Our archives indicate that Gordon was first targeted by a gunman in October 2018. Back then, he was reportedly sitting on a sofa inside his home, when he heard the sound of a gunshot, which was fired from outside. He felt a burning sensation to the right side of his neck. He later realized that he was injured, and his neck was bleeding. He told police he did not see the person who fired that bullet at him.
